When you talk about Mini 4WD, you can't help but think of the Bakusou Kyoudai Let's & Go!! anime series, adapted from Tetsuhiro Koshita's manga. Its adrenaline-pumping races, coupled with the real-life Mini 4WD toys, have kept countless fans hooked, with races still held annually in Taiwan and worldwide.
Recently, the YouTube channel "Niwakara" (にわから Niwakara) dropped a video showcasing their experiment to build the "fastest Mini 4WD." The goal was simple: "rules be damned, just go as fast as possible." The video blew up on YouTube, racking up over 1.46 million views!

The "Niwakara" YouTube channel is known for its wild modifications of childhood toys, including Mini 4WDs, RC cars, and B-Daman. This time, they went all out, naturally.

They had previously tried modifying motors to boost speed, even pushing the internal core to its absolute maximum size, but the results weren't quite ideal. So, a new idea sparked: "If it doesn't fit in the shell, why not just make the shell bigger?" And thus, the plan began – to fuse 10 motors into one giant, super-motor.
They disassembled 10 motors, strung all the cores and bearings onto a single shaft, and then hand-wound copper wire to create an ultra-long coil, resulting in an absurdly massive motor core.

Next, they used a 3D printer to repeatedly prototype the outer shell (it took 10 versions to finalize). After assembly, what emerged was a bizarre contraption shaped like the Japanese character "エ" (e).

While it had wheels and guide rollers, making it somewhat resemble a Mini 4WD, it was essentially "a motor that runs by itself." And its power was absolutely insane; during test runs, it would often shoot right off the track and fly away.

But here's the kicker: this machine was so powerful it needed repairs almost every run. The battery drained incredibly fast, its speed dropped with each lap, gears wore down quickly (some even vanished entirely!), and the high-speed rotation caused the internal core to "self-destruct." It was truly a "tragic monster machine."

Despite all the issues, after continuous fine-tuning, this beast finally unleashed its true potential. It clocked an astonishing 1.815 seconds, so powerful it made the entire track vibrate. Niwakara expressed satisfaction, stating, "Starting with building a 10x motor, we truly created a monster-level machine in the end."

The comments section absolutely exploded: "This isn't a Mini 4WD anymore, it's a weapon, terrifying!" "Pure romantic genius, absolutely mind-blowing!" "So stupid but so awesome LOL, it's literally just a motor with wheels!" "One mistake and the gears just evaporate, a true sprint machine!"

The "Niwakara" channel has actually pulled off many other bizarre modifications, so if you're curious, definitely go check them out!
