We all know how "One-Punch Man's" Saitama became the strongest hero: a daily regimen of 100 push-ups, 100 sit-ups, 100 squats, and a 10km run, maintained for a solid three years. Now, a Japanese YouTuber has actually pulled it off!
Meet "Tasuke," who kicked off his "One-Punch Man" training challenge on April 21, 2023. At 41 years old, standing 175cm tall and weighing 74.7kg, he set himself five ambitious goals.
His five epic goals included: sticking to the three-year commitment just like Saitama, completing a full marathon in under 4 hours, conquering a 100km ultramarathon, tackling the roughly 200km Lake Biwa circumnavigation marathon, and dropping his weight to 62kg while maintaining his muscle mass.

Tasuke admits the initial training was brutal, leaving his muscles screaming. But he didn't let the pain stop him. Even through bad weather, heavy snow, or work trips, he found a way to get his training done.

By 2024, he had completed a full year of training. In 2025, even when he caught COVID-19 and couldn't run outside, he didn't break his streak—he walked 10km indoors and kept up with his strength training.
Finally, at the end of April this year, he completed the full three-year challenge and dropped a results video. The current Tasuke is practically a different person from three years ago. His slightly pudgy frame is now ripped and muscular, with a six-pack to boot—a true testament to pure grit and discipline.
Tasuke tallied up his three-year stats: he ran a staggering 16,136 kilometers, and completed over 100,000 reps each for push-ups, sit-ups, and squats. Along the way, he lost 8 toenails, was hit by a car once, collided with bicycles twice, and somehow managed to cut his hand with a can 4 times (?!).

Japanese netizens were quick to react, with many jokingly asking, "Why didn't his hair fall out like Saitama's?" Others were inspired, realizing that after seeing Tasuke's results, "being too old" is no longer an excuse. Even in your 40s, consistent effort can transform your body and your life.

He first went viral in 2024 after completing his first year, and now, in the blink of an eye, he's hit the three-year mark. His day-in, day-out dedication and willpower are absolutely mind-blowing!
