Back in April, Japanese VTuber agency Cover Corp. dropped a bombshell, announcing a major operational review for its male VTuber group, Holostars. The plan? Shift to an individual-focused model, which meant reduced or even halted support for some members. Naturally, fans were left scratching their heads.
Today (May 26), the official word is out. After extensive discussions with each member about their future activities and career paths, some have decided to wrap up their streaming careers, while others will continue under the Holostars banner.

Here’s the rundown of members ending their activities, along with their final dates:
Hanasaki Miyabi: June 8, 2026
Kishido Tenma: June 8, 2026
Rikka: June 9, 2026
Arurandeisu: June 10, 2026
Minase Rio: June 25, 2026
Kageyama Shien: July 5, 2026

Meanwhile, these members are sticking around:
Kanade Izuru
Astel Leda
Yukoku Roberu
Aragami Oga
Yatogami Fuma
Utsugi Uyu

The agency reiterated that the future of Holostars will indeed operate under the previously announced "individual activity-focused" new system. Cover Corp. plans to work closely with the remaining members to push forward with their activities.

▼ Cover CEO YAGOO also posted a message, thanking all members and fans for their support.

Regarding services for the departing members, fan mail will be accepted until the respective member's final activity date. Membership programs and exclusive content are expected to be phased out approximately three months after their departure.

While technically not "graduations" – more like contracts simply not being renewed – some members have still announced "graduation" streams. Hey, at this point, who's really going to stop them?

Of course, these departing members aren't necessarily done with the VTuber world; "reincarnation" is practically an industry standard. But with Holostars now cut in half, leaving only six members, it definitely raises questions about what kind of future awaits them under the Cover Corp. umbrella.
