Genius or Ghetto? Japanese Cable Car Uses a Dyson Fan for "Hardcore" Cooling

As temperatures rise and summer creeps closer, keeping public transport comfortable without full-blown air conditioning becomes a real challenge. This is especially true for cable cars in tourist spots, where limited space and more passengers can quickly turn a scenic ride into a sweaty ordeal.
Recently, Japanese X user "藻屑(@moku_photo)" shared a hilarious discovery from their trip on the Matsuyama Castle cable car in Ehime Prefecture. From the outside, it didn't look like it had AC, but they noticed a distinct coolness inside. Looking up, they were stunned to find a seriously powerful ventilation system rigged up in the cabin!

Turns out, a Dyson fan was bolted horizontally to the ceiling, transforming a regular home appliance into a hardcore cooling and ventilation unit for the cable car.

This ingenious (and slightly wild) setup sparked quite a buzz online. Some netizens joked that the metal brackets holding the fan looked custom-made, proving this wasn't just some haphazard DIY job.

Others pointed out that it perfectly showcases the advantage of bladeless fans. While the installation might look over-the-top, channeling outside air directly into the cabin is actually a pretty clever solution.

And it's not the first time this kind of "hardcore" cooling has popped up! Another user dug up a similar setup from the Gifu Castle cable car, which has long used a horizontally mounted, circular Dyson fan to cool its cabins in the exact same way.

So, while it might look a bit rough around the edges, you can't deny its practicality. For passengers stuck in a stuffy cable car, feeling that cool breeze is all that really matters!
