A Japanese netizen recently hit the jackpot at a Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba collaboration cafe, snagging the grand prize: a life-sized Giyu Tomioka standee! But what happened next was truly wild, and her hilarious journey home quickly went viral on Threads, drawing tons of attention and well wishes.

The lucky winner, Threads user akimama (@akimama0216), visited the "ufotable DINING-HANARE-" collaboration restaurant, where fans can dive deep into the world of Demon Slayer. She decided to try her luck at the "Entertainment Lottery" (Otanoshimi Kuji), part of an event tied to the anime's re-broadcast.
And wouldn't you know it? She pulled the "Grand Prize" ticket! The reward? None other than a life-sized Giyu Tomioka standee. Yep, we're talking full-on, human-sized Giyu.
She immediately posted, "I'm heading home with Giyu Tomioka now..." alongside a photo that perfectly captured the moment's drama.

▼ The grand prize at the ufotable DINING-HANARE- collaboration event was one of three life-sized character standees.
This standee wasn't just big; it was taller than her! Definitely not your average carry-on. But here's where it gets even better: she decided to take him home... by train! She shared snaps of her and Giyu riding the rails, even wondering aloud, "Do I need to pay an extra luggage fee for this?"

Her entire journey became a hilarious, moving "social death" scene. She described passersby doing double-takes as she navigated the streets with life-sized Giyu. On the train, some even struck up conversations and asked for photos!
Ever the good sport, she kindly chatted with everyone, successfully completing her "Giyu escort mission." Finally, she happily announced, "Tomioka is safely home!"

Netizens, of course, went wild in the comments: "That sinful man!" "That size would definitely make my heart race," "The passersby must've been buzzing with excitement," and "Looks like you're practically living together now!"

But the saga wasn't over! She tried to sneak Giyu into their Japanese-style room, only for her husband to immediately discover him. He was initially worried about where this giant newcomer came from, but upon learning about her incredible luck (and the train ride!), he offered to help transport any future prizes. She just laughed and declared, "No more additions, I promise!"

Now, she's living what feels like a cohabitation with Giyu Tomioka, constantly drawing energy from him, and her husband seems to have made peace with it too!
