Manga maestro Kentaro Yabuki, famed for iconic works like "To Love-Ru" and "BLACK CAT," just dropped a bombshell yesterday (the 28th) by launching his very own personal X account! And guess what? It immediately blew up, racking up over 160,000 followers in a flash. Talk about a grand entrance!
In his inaugural post, Yabuki-sensei revealed that his new account, "@yabuki_side," is set to be a hub for personal updates, spontaneous hobby illustrations, and all sorts of cool doodles.
He also clarified that official announcements related to Shueisha will still be handled by the existing official account. Fans absolutely flooded the comments section, buzzing with excitement over the characters he might draw next!
The first day wasn't without a chuckle-worthy moment! Yabuki-sensei initially mislinked the official info account, typing "@yabukiLinfo" instead of "@yabuki_info." After a quick heads-up from eagle-eyed fans, he swiftly corrected it and, in true Yabuki fashion, playfully drew an illustration of L from "Death Note" to apologize to his followers. What a legend!
And if that wasn't enough, Yabuki-sensei just dropped his latest masterpiece: an illustration of Ruruka Moriya from "Detective Pretty Cure!" transforming into the formidable "Mystery Dark Angel."
He confessed in his post that this was a character he'd been itching to draw for ages, adding a heartwarming touch: "It just hit me, the last time I actively drew Pretty Cure was when my daughter was still little..." This sweet, personal anecdote, coupled with his absolutely stunning artwork, instantly ignited a firestorm of discussion and shares across social media.
While Kentaro Yabuki might not have a new series currently running, the sheer excitement and support generated by his new X account prove that his artistic charm and market clout are absolutely undiminished, even after all these years. If you're a fan of the master, what are you waiting for? Hit that follow button!
