Hold the phone, folks! Kitakoji Hisui, a popular VTuber from ANYCOLOR's virtual idol agency Nijisanji, just dropped a bombshell today, May 30th: she's officially engaged! She's set to spill all the details about her future activities in a special livestream tonight, May 30th, at 10 PM JST. This marks a historic first for Nijisanji – their very first "engagement announcement" from a talent!
Kitakoji Hisui debuted in 2020 alongside her同期 (same generation) members Asahina Akane, Suo Sango, Todo Kohaku, and Nishizono Chigusa. She's a multi-talented VTuber known for her singing, experience report manga, and career report videos. Her channel currently boasts nearly 320,000 subscribers.
The Nijisanji star had previously teased fans with a post saying, "It's personal, but I have something to report regarding my future activities. It's not graduation (retirement)!"
That cryptic message had fans buzzing with speculation, and today the mystery is solved! Her engagement announcement is a rare move for a corporate VTuber to make public while still actively streaming.
Fellow Nijisanji VTuber Suo Sango even chimed in with a hilarious meme-style congratulation, playfully quipping, "You're getting married? And it's not even to me—!"
Fans instantly recognized the famous internet meme, chuckling that it was "peak Sango" to respond in such a way.
For all the juicy details about her engagement and future streaming plans, Kitakoji Hisui will host a special livestream on her YouTube channel, "北小路ヒスイチャンネル," tonight, May 30th, at 10 PM JST. For the most accurate information, be sure to check her official social media accounts and the livestream itself.
Following the announcement, fans flooded social media with well wishes, celebrating the fact that a VTuber felt comfortable sharing such a significant life milestone with her audience.
