Marvel Studios is gearing up for a massive re-release of "Avengers: Endgame" on September 25th, an extended version designed to reignite fan excitement. Originally announced last year, this isn't just a simple re-run, but a newly produced cut. With September fast approaching, official details regarding this extended edition were finally revealed yesterday.

During a recent presentation at CineEurope, Disney's distribution team confirmed the extended cut has been officially titled "Avengers: Endgame Encore." This special edition will include an exclusive opening sequence, additional extended scenes, and a brand-new, never-before-seen hidden post-credits scene. However, these exclusive additions will only be available in IMAX screenings and through Disney's newly launched premium large-format cinema certification brand, Infinity Vision. Other theatrical versions will not feature this content.

First announced two months ago, Infinity Vision was widely perceived as Disney's strategic move to command higher ticket prices after failing to secure prime IMAX screening slots for the end of the year. Disney's inability to secure those slots reportedly stemmed from their insistence on a simultaneous release with the third "Dune" film, which had already exclusively booked the first three weeks of IMAX showings.
Disney also recently unveiled the technical certification standards for Infinity Vision. The requirements include a minimum screen width of 45 feet, an immersive audio system such as Dolby Atmos or 7.1 surround sound, a 2D projection brightness level of 14 foot-lamberts, and a 3D brightness of 6 foot-lamberts. Furthermore, Disney has already launched the official Infinity Vision website at InfinityVisionTickets.com.
