Fans of iconic roles like Shinn Asuka from "Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Destiny," Mikiya Kokutou from "The Garden of Sinners," and Obanai Iguro from "Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba" will be thrilled to hear the news: voice actor Kenichi Suzumura is officially back! Earlier this year in February, Suzumura announced a temporary hiatus due to an "adjustment disorder," leaving many fans concerned about his health.
On the 29th, his agency, INTENTION, where he also serves as a representative, announced his return to work via its official website. Suzumura himself also broke his silence on X (formerly Twitter) after a long absence, sharing updates on his recovery and delivering the good news to his dedicated fanbase.
The official website's statement, titled "Announcement Regarding Kenichi Suzumura's Return to Work," reads:
"We extend our heartfelt gratitude for your continuous warm support and encouragement for Kenichi Suzumura. Due to health concerns, Kenichi Suzumura had previously taken a temporary break from work. Now, after careful consideration of his physical condition, he will gradually resume his activities. We sincerely apologize once again to all fans who have supported Kenichi Suzumura, as well as to all our partners, for any inconvenience and worry caused during this period. We kindly ask for your continued support for Kenichi Suzumura."

Suzumura also posted on his personal X account for the first time in approximately half a year, stating:
"Hello everyone, it's been a while. I've officially returned to work! Thank you so, so much for all the encouraging messages and support you've sent me! My health is currently excellent, and I'm feeling very energetic. Additionally, I sincerely apologize for any trouble or inconvenience caused to my colleagues and partners during my hiatus. Moving forward, I will strive to repay everyone's support and understanding through each and every job. I'll continue to move forward at my own pace, step by step, and I kindly ask for your continued support and guidance!"
This isn't the first time Suzumura has taken a break due to health issues. In May 2024, he announced a hiatus, returning to work in July of the same year. This latest break lasted about four months, which naturally sparked considerable concern among his fans. With this announcement, Suzumura will gradually ease back into his acting career while prioritizing his health, meaning fans can look forward to hearing his familiar voice again across various projects.
