After reimagining the classic vampire tale with his upcoming "Nosferatu," director Robert Eggers is now tackling another iconic monster from cinematic history: the werewolf. His new take on the legend, titled "Werwulf," has just unveiled its first trailer.
The film's cast features several returning collaborators from "Nosferatu," including Willem Dafoe, Ralph Ineson, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, and Lily-Rose Depp. "Werwulf" is slated for a Christmas Day release on December 25 in both the UK and North America.

"Werwulf" sees Eggers co-writing the screenplay once again with Sjón, his collaborator on "The Northman." Chris Columbus, director of the first two "Harry Potter" films, who previously produced Eggers' "The Witch," "The Lighthouse," and the upcoming "Nosferatu," also returns as a producer, alongside his daughter Eleanor Columbus.
