Manga Artist Kazutoshi Soyama Shares Wild Wedding Story: Playing "Bakusou Kyoudai Let's & Go!!" Songs and Drawing His Wife's Priceless Reaction!

The anime series "Bakusou Kyoudai Let's & Go!!", adapted from Tetsuhiro Koshita's manga, continues to rev up fans with its high-octane action and real-life Mini 4WD toys. Its enduring popularity even sees races held annually in Taiwan and worldwide.

Recently, an official 30th-anniversary exhibition for the anime was held in Tokyo. Veteran Japanese gag manga artist Kazutoshi Soyama took to X (formerly Twitter) not only to congratulate the event but also to share a hilarious "memory manga" about playing the anime's theme songs at his own wedding, sparking a massive buzz online.

Soyama frequently shares snippets of his life and memories through manga. This time, he started his post with: "Congratulations to the 'Bakusou Kyoudai Let's & Go!!' 30th Anniversary Exhibition!"

He then confessed in his manga: "This series is my favorite anime of all time." He loved it so much, in fact, that he decided to play its theme songs at his wedding. He even quipped, "Playing my favorite anime's theme song at my wedding? The satisfaction was off the charts!!"

The song that blasted through the wedding hall was none other than "Winning Run! ~Kaze ni Naritai~," the iconic opening theme from "Bakusou Kyoudai Let's & Go!!" – a track that undoubtedly floods many with nostalgia.

The revelation sent netizens into hysterics, with comments like: "His wife's expression was truly something else (lol)." and "I really want to know what his wife was thinking at that moment."

After all, for such a significant life event, playing *that* kind of song at a wedding might make some wonder... was it *really* a good idea? XD

Of course, what songs a couple chooses for their wedding is entirely up to them. But given how Kazutoshi Soyama depicted it in his manga, one can't help but wonder if his wife was secretly facepalming the entire time. LOL.
