Newcomer director Curry Barker's original horror film "Obsession," which he wrote, directed, and starred in, has achieved remarkable box office success in recent months. Produced on a modest budget of just $750,000, the film has now grossed over $400 million globally and continues to climb.
Undoubtedly, "Obsession" has cemented its place as one of the most profitable films in cinematic history. Further analysis by media outlets reveals that it is currently the highest-grossing film ever made with a production budget under $1 million. It surpasses Bruce Lee's iconic "Enter the Dragon," which held the previous record, having earned over $400 million worldwide from an $850,000 budget.

The breakout success of "Obsession" has also propelled its lead actress, Inde Navarrette, into the spotlight, thanks to her compelling and intense performance. In a recent interview with Nylon magazine, Navarrette confirmed that she has met with several prominent directors to discuss future collaborations. Among them are Michael Mann, director of "Heat," who is currently developing "Heat 2," and Jake Schreier, director of "Thunderbolts*," who is helming the new "X-Men" film. This suggests a strong possibility that Navarrette could be cast in both highly anticipated projects.
