If you follow Japanese artists, you've probably seen them frequently posting their work on platforms like X (formerly Twitter) and Pixiv, sharing their creative endeavors. Naturally, every artist has their unique style, and some even have specific "fetishes" that attract fans with similar tastes.
Recently, Japanese artist yapo (@yaponishi) shared a hilarious anecdote on X. While drawing a manga featuring "cross-dressing shota," his son's innocent question put him in an awkward spot. The story quickly went viral, with netizens jokingly warning that the dad might be inadvertently influencing his son's future "tastes" XD.

Yapo recounted that as he was working on his "cross-dressing shota" manga, his son suddenly ran over. Spotting the screen, the boy immediately exclaimed with a smile, "So cute~! Dad, are you drawing girls?"
"With his innocent, trusting eyes fixed on me, I calmly replied, 'Yep.' And just like that, I safely dodged the bullet; he never found out the truth."

For those wondering what yapo's "cross-dressing shota" looks like, here are some examples he shared on X.

Netizens flooded the comment section, suggesting this was an "early education" opportunity not to be missed. Yapo, however, retorted, asking how a "degenerate fetish" could be considered proper education XD.
Some users also mused that "ten years from now, a different story will unfold XD," showing off their vivid imaginations. However, one netizen pointed out that if he told his son the truth and the boy responded with "Is he gay?", it might be even more heartbreaking. But yapo assured everyone that his son is only six and doesn't grasp the concept of homosexuality, so he's safe!

Since many netizens "lamented" that yapo shouldn't lie to his son about drawing girls, yapo responded:
"I don't care how other people's fetishes get twisted or awakened. But I absolutely cannot let my own son be led astray by me. I have to hold this line no matter what. That's a parent's responsibility."

Netizens playfully suggested that kids develop their "tastes" early, and even at six, there's a high chance. Who knows, maybe his son's future will involve... cross-dressing boys, lol.
Yapo countered that while his son is only six, he himself, at age four, secretly watched his dad's hidden blonde AV actress videos, which made him forever love blonde women. He declared that this was perfectly acceptable XD.

Yapo later posted another update:
"It seems you've misunderstood. The reason I draw cross-dressing shota illustrations and manga is because I find it incredibly amusing to watch people who are originally heterosexual (straight men) slowly fall into this rabbit hole, sinking all the way to the bottom. That process is just so interesting, which is why I draw it. So please, don't lump me in with you guys. My faves are Rika Jougasaki from 'The Idolmaster Cinderella Girls,' Cagliostro from 'Granblue Fantasy,' and Marie Rose from 'Dead or Alive.' My tastes are perfectly normal, okay?"
Netizens jokingly replied that yapo is truly a "sinful" artist, finding his "fetish" both despicable and utterly fascinating, lol.

While netizens are all hoping yapo's son will eventually share the same niche interest, dad yapo is firmly protecting his six-year-old. Meanwhile, he's busy drawing to lure everyone else into this particular rabbit hole. Honestly... that's a bit naughty, isn't it, lol!
