Carlo Zen's light novel series, "The Saga of Tanya the Evil," which received a TV anime adaptation in 2017, is finally back with its second season this July, ending a nine-year wait for fans!
Just after the second episode of Season 2 aired on July 15, featuring a rather *ahem* interesting scene where Tanya's adjutant, Viktoriya Ivanovna Serebryakov (Visha), lifts her leg to reveal her socks, the official account dropped a bombshell on the 16th: a "Sock Distribution Event"! Fans are absolutely loving the official's cheeky creativity, calling it pure genius.

The official image's tagline is just as hilarious, quipping, "Just handing out medicine isn't enough for our daily needs. Are you really going to deny us even socks?!"
Running until July 30, fans can instantly enter to win by simply following the official "The Saga of Tanya the Evil Season 2" X (formerly Twitter) account and retweeting the campaign post! Fifty lucky fans will snag a pair of exclusive "The Saga of Tanya the Evil Season 2" logo socks.
Since it's an instant-win event, fans immediately flooded the entries! Those who didn't win hilariously lamented, "They're really not even giving us socks, a daily necessity! How are we supposed to fight on the battlefield now?!"

And of course, some fans couldn't resist a voice actor gag, musing, "If only they were Saori Hayami's (Visha's VA) socks..." Clearly, everyone knows where the *real* appeal lies, eh?

In fact, the scene of Visha lifting her leg to reveal her socks had already set social media ablaze when the episode first aired. Even international fans were getting in on the "sock fetishist" comments, declaring it the ultimate fan service.

You've got to hand it to the official team – they *really* know what the fans want, immediately rolling out this sock distribution event. Talk about an unexpected, yet brilliant, move!
