Nintendo Switch's Animal Crossing: New Horizons has been an absolute smash hit since its launch, charming players of all ages worldwide with its adorable and fun-filled style.
Now, get ready for a sweet collaboration! Ishiya Confectionery, makers of the iconic "Shiroi Koibito" chocolate cookies, are teaming up with the game to release a special-edition cookie tin featuring fan-favorite villager Marshal. This limited-run item will be exclusively available starting August 14, 2026, at the "Animal Crossing: Daimaru Department Store Island" event held at Daimaru Sapporo. Don't sleep on this one!
For those unfamiliar, Marshal (known as Jun in Japanese) is the one and only smug squirrel in the Animal Crossing series, instantly recognizable by his rosy cheeks and lavender-tipped ears. His motto, "You only live once, so make sure to enjoy the fleeting moments," perfectly encapsulates his cool demeanor, making him a highly sought-after resident in the game.
This collaboration puts Marshal front and center! The outer paper sleeve and the tin itself each feature different expressions of Marshal, giving fans two distinct looks to collect. However, the individual Shiroi Koibito cookie wrappers and the cookies themselves won't have character designs printed on them.
The Marshal on the paper sleeve delivers a delightful gift-giving line that players will recognize from the game. The background design uses the in-game "Meadow Vista" wallpaper, creating a refreshing and cozy highland scene.
While Marshal usually sports a cool, collected expression, peeling off the outer sleeve reveals him with a brilliant, beaming smile! The tin's background features an exclusive rose pattern inspired by the Shiroi Koibito Park Rose Garden – a truly unique design for this special collaboration.
