The TV anime "Yani Neko" (ヤニねこ), based on the manga of the same name, kicked off its run in July, grabbing serious attention for its brutally realistic and gritty portrayal of smokers and addiction. Three episodes in, and it's already got everyone talking.
The latest issue of "Weekly Young Magazine" (Issue 34), which dropped on July 21, features a stunning "Yani Neko" cosplay photoshoot. Popular cosplayer Kokoro Shinozaki teamed up with voice actor Tetsu Inada, who voices "The Landlord" in the anime, to bring their characters to life. The insane level of accuracy immediately set the internet ablaze.

Official photos released by "Weekly Young Magazine" showcase model and cosplayer Kokoro Shinozaki (篠崎こころ) as the titular "Yani Neko," alongside Tetsu Inada, who absolutely nails his cosplay of "The Landlord" – the very character he voices.

Shinozaki also dropped more behind-the-scenes shots on her personal X account. She's rocking the wig, cat ears, and tail, perfectly paired with Yani Neko's signature baggy tee and crocs. Plus, there's no hiding that impressive bust and the ever-present cigarette – honestly, it's hard to focus on anything else! LOL.

But what really stole the show was Tetsu Inada's mind-blowing accuracy. It's like "The Landlord" literally walked straight out of the anime! After the photos dropped, netizens flooded the comments, exclaiming, "That's cheating, they just got the actual person to pose!" "They could totally just film a live-action version now!" and "The resemblance is insane!" Everyone was absolutely floored by his cosplay.

Inada himself even chimed in on X, jokingly remarking, "My own clothes fit better than what the stylist gave me, so this entire outfit is just stuff from my closet." He then quipped, "If one copy isn't enough, I'm sure one person can buy many, so everyone, go grab a few more copies!"
Funnily enough, Inada's usual look isn't quite like this. He actually shaved his head and beard recently specifically to promote "Yani Neko." The transformation was so spot-on that when he appeared on promotional shows, fans raved that he looked like he was carved straight out of the anime.
