In "Spider-Man: Brand New Day," Tom Holland's Peter Parker reportedly meets Florence Pugh's Yelena Belova, the second Black Widow, in a Russian bathhouse. During the scene, to ensure Spider-Man wasn't concealing any weapons, Yelena demands he strip and enter the water, leaving Peter onscreen wearing only his Spider-Man mask and a pair of underwear.
Speaking with "Entertainment Weekly," Tom Holland revealed he even attempted dehydration for the scene:
“Besides the fact that I really loved working with Florence and the whole scene went very smoothly, and she's the funniest person in the room, I tried that stupid dehydration preparation for that scene.”
He continued, “I didn't drink any water the day before filming, and the day before that, I drank a lot of water. I just wanted to see if it would make any difference, but the only result was that it made me incredibly irritable. Honestly, I don't even think it made much of a difference.”
The underwear-only look also drew comparisons to a special suit in Insomniac Games' "Marvel's Spider-Man." 
Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige stated that many action sequences in the film were indeed inspired by the game, but he could not confirm whether the bathhouse scene was a deliberate homage.
