This summer’s two box-office juggernauts, The Odyssey and Spider-Man: Brand New Day, are continuing to set new records. The Odyssey has now passed $1.1 billion at the worldwide box office, overtaking the $1.08 billion earned by The Dark Knight Rises to become the highest-grossing film of Christopher Nolan’s career.
Of that $1.1 billion total, $461 million has come from the domestic market and $643 million from overseas territories. IMAX screenings alone have contributed $289 million.

Meanwhile, Spider-Man: Brand New Day reached a staggering $1.67 billion worldwide after just 10 days in theaters. That figure includes $655 million from the United States and Canada and approximately $1.01 billion from international markets, placing it at No. 12 on the all-time worldwide box-office chart at the time of the report. Crossing $2 billion now appears to be only a matter of time. It also seems inevitable that the film will surpass the $1.92 billion earned by Spider-Man: No Way Home to become the highest-grossing Spider-Man movie ever.
TheWrap projects that Spider-Man: Brand New Day is on pace to cross $2.5 billion worldwide, potentially joining Avatar and Avengers: Endgame as only the third film in history to reach that milestone before adjusting for inflation. Some outlets have offered an even bolder prediction: the movie could conceivably pass $3 billion and claim the title of the highest-grossing film of all time.
