Entertainment outlet The Cosmic Circus, known for its scoops on the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, has dropped some fresh intel. First up is the recently announced "Ghost Rider" reboot, which was officially unveiled at San Diego Comic-Con. According to the report, star Ryan Gosling will already be well-established as the Spirit of Vengeance when the film begins, skipping the traditional origin story of how he made a deal with the devil to gain his supernatural powers.

The new "Ghost Rider" is slated for a 2028 release, with "Deadpool & Wolverine" director Shawn Levy confirmed to be at the helm. Previous rumors suggested that Sacha Baron Cohen, who reportedly makes his debut as Mephisto in "Ironheart," would return for the film, a claim The Cosmic Circus now corroborates.
While there have been multiple Ghost Riders in the comics, Marvel has yet to officially announce which version Gosling will play. However, reports surfaced a few days ago claiming Gosling is indeed playing the most famous incarnation, Johnny Blaze, and that he will be the only Ghost Rider featured in the movie. But the solo film won't be Gosling's MCU debut; that is set for "Avengers: Secret Wars," which will serve as his first appearance.

Speaking of "Secret Wars," The Cosmic Circus also shared some inside details about the massive crossover event. The report claims we will see the Hulk in his "Thor: Ragnarok" state. Furthermore, the remaining heroes who haven't been brainwashed by Doctor Doom will split into multiple teams to carry out separate missions, similar to the structure of "Avengers: Endgame." These teams will reportedly consist of three main groups: one with more veteran characters, one with new-generation heroes, and another featuring characters who have not yet appeared in the MCU.

Additionally, the plot of "Secret Wars" is said to draw heavily from the "Children's Crusade" storyline from Marvel Comics and will have deep connections to the Disney+ series trilogy of "WandaVision," "Agatha All Along," and the upcoming "Vision Quest," as characters from the Maximoff family are set to reunite.
The report also suggests that Scarlet Witch's reality-altering powers will be a key element used by Doctor Doom to create the new universe, Battleworld. The spells, their functions, and the principles of magic introduced in the shows will reportedly be directly linked to the uncharacteristic behavior of the brainwashed heroes.
