The highly popular Haikyu!! may have concluded its manga run, but the anime, including "Haikyu!! The Dumpster Battle," has raked in billions at the box office. Now, two new projects have been announced: "Haikyu!! vs. The Little Giant" and the special anime "Haikyu!! Where Monsters Go."
A concept visual for "Haikyu!! vs. The Little Giant" has been unveiled, with its release slated for 2027. Additionally, the special anime "Haikyu!! Where Monsters Go" has dropped an action PV, a teaser visual, and school visuals, all crafted from new footage, and is also set to premiere in 2027. Fans can get an early peek at the thrilling content of these two fierce battles.

Haikyu!! vs. The Little Giant (劇場版ハイキュー!! VS 小さな巨人) is the sequel to "Haikyu!! The Dumpster Battle." Susumu Mitsunaka returns as both director and screenwriter, with Production I.G once again handling the animation.
The story follows Karasuno High as they advance from the Miyagi Prefectural Qualifiers to the third round of the Spring High National Tournament, where they face off against Kamomedai High. Korai Hoshiumi shares the "Little Giant" nickname with the player Hinata once admired. Now, one of the most crucial matches from the original story—Karasuno High vs. Kamomedai High, and Hinata vs. Hoshiumi's "Little Giant" showdown—is hitting the big screen.

What's more, another pivotal Spring High showdown—Fukurodani Academy vs. Mujinazaka High—will be adapted as the special anime "Haikyu!! Where Monsters Go" (ハイキュー!! バケモノたちの行くところ)!
The teaser visual reveals banners behind the two aces, proclaiming "One Ball, One Soul" (一球入魂) and "Hundred Refinements, Steel" (百鍊成鋼), symbolizing their strength and conviction. Both teams are set for an intense, no-holds-barred battle!
Additionally, official school visuals have been released. They feature Fukurodani's Kotaro Bokuto and his setter Keiji Akaashi, who paves the way for him, alongside Mujinazaka's Wakatsu Kiryu and his supporter Michiru Usuri. The clash between the two schools' setters is a major highlight of this visual.

"Haikyu!! Where Monsters Go" will air as a TV anime, and the official team has already dropped an action PV for fans to get an early look.
With "Haikyu!! vs. The Little Giant" and "Haikyu!! Where Monsters Go" dropping new info back-to-back, it means the "Haikyu!!" anime series is set to hit another peak in 2027. While official release dates for both haven't been announced yet, these storylines are incredibly intense in the original manga. Fans can surely expect an amazing experience, given the high quality of the anime production team.
