Celebrating its 30th anime broadcast anniversary this year, the seventh installment in the Gundam series, After War Gundam X, is getting a new chapter! Today (8/20), officials announced the launch of a sequel side-story manga, After War Gundam X FLASH, which will officially begin serialization in the October 2026 issue of "Gundam Ace," set to release on August 26.

The manga is drawn by artist Kouichi Tokita (ときた洸一), who also handled the artwork for the original "After War Gundam X" manga. This new series serves as a sequel to his 2018 manga, "After War Gundam X NEXT PROLOGUE: With You, If It's With You," which depicted Garrod and Tiffa embarking on a new journey.

Tokita expressed his joy at being able to once again illustrate a story from "After War Gundam X" during its 30th anniversary. He is currently working hard every day to bring a brand-new "Gundam X" story to life. While this new installment will incorporate some fresh elements, he hopes fans will still feel his unwavering passion for the series. He also asked for everyone's continued support!

Officials have also released a preview illustration from the first chapter of the side-story manga, "After War Gundam X FLASH."
With "After War Gundam X FLASH" about to begin serialization, bringing a new story for Garrod and Tiffa after many years, fans can look forward to what kind of content it will deliver.
