THE BATMAN PART II: Batmobile Tears Through Snowy Gotham Set; GCPD Chase Fuels Court of Owls Speculation

"The Batman Part II" is currently filming in Glasgow, Scotland, with recent set videos putting the Batmobile front and center. The sequel's winter setting is evident, featuring snow and Christmas decorations on set. Earlier rumors suggested the Court of Owls might be involved in a New Year's Eve party plotline, adding to Gotham City's suspenseful atmosphere.

The footage shows the Batmobile, equipped with camera rigs, performing high-speed drifts in the snow, its engine roaring. A Gotham City Police Department (GCPD) SWAT van was also spotted on set. Coupled with previous reports indicating the Batmobile will sustain significant damage in the sequel, speculation suggests Gotham police may still be pursuing Batman, or at least maintaining a tense relationship with the Dark Knight.

Plot details for "The Batman Part II" remain tightly under wraps, with numerous unconfirmed rumors circulating about cast roles. Glasgow has become a popular Hollywood filming location in recent years, heavily featured in 2022's "The Batman," and more recently used to double for New York in other productions.

Robert Pattinson previously described the sequel's script as "excellent," stating that it will be a "very special, very different" film that "takes a lot of bold swings." He added that while the first film was already a unique take on Batman, the sequel will venture into a different genre entirely, hoping to surprise audiences.

Directed by Matt Reeves, who co-wrote the script with Mattson Tomlin, the film stars Robert Pattinson, Scarlett Johansson, Sebastian Stan, Colin Farrell, Andy Serkis, Jeffrey Wright, and Charles Dance. It is currently slated for release on February 18, 2028.
