A new wave of costume and character photos from "Avengers: Doomsday" has recently leaked, reportedly showcasing designs for characters like Doctor Doom and Sentry, with Robert Downey Jr. portraying Doctor Doom.
These images first circulated on X (formerly Twitter) and Reddit in December 2025, initially dismissed as sophisticated AI-generated fakes due to the widespread prevalence of such content across social platforms. However, subsequent reports confirmed the photos were legitimate, with Disney reportedly moving swiftly to remove them from various platforms.

Now, with several trailers for the film already released, these leaked images have resurfaced, sparking renewed discussion. Of particular interest is the appearance of Sentry, a character who has yet to be featured in any official trailers or sneak peeks.

Meanwhile, multiple photos of Robert Downey Jr.'s Doctor Doom have also surfaced, including shots of him seated on a throne and manipulating a blue-screen chessboard. Reports speculate that if this scene makes it into the final film, the chess pieces could be rendered via visual effects to represent various Multiverse heroes.
Robert Downey Jr. recently addressed expectations for the new "Avengers" film, stating that the focus isn't just on his portrayal of a character, but on the overall story structure and the other characters involved. He also described an element within "Doomsday" and its subsequent installments that will address how to avoid disappointment following "Avengers: Infinity War" and "Avengers: Endgame."
"Avengers: Doomsday" is directed by the Russo Brothers and is scheduled for release on December 18, 2026.
