Xbox and IKEA Team Up for 'YXSTABY' Gaming Furniture Line, Featuring Analog Stick Stool and D-Pad Pillow

IKEA and Xbox officially unveiled their collaborative furniture collection, "YXSTABY," at Gamescom 2026, with a phased launch expected this fall. IKEA stated that the product line reflects the growing trend of gaming furniture moving from teen bedrooms and "man caves" into mainstream living spaces, aiming to integrate gaming setups more naturally into home environments.

Developed jointly by the Xbox and IKEA design teams, the collection incorporates design elements ranging from controller aesthetics and storage needs to optimal gaming postures. Carl Ledbetter, Xbox's Head of Design, revealed that IKEA's classic BILLY bookcase has, for years, served as a crucial reference point for Xbox when testing console dimensions and horizontal/vertical placement, making this collaboration a natural fit.

Among the most eye-catching items is the "Analog Stick Gaming Stool," directly crafted from the original 3D files of the Xbox controller. This stool mimics the feel of an analog stick, allowing the seat to sway as the user leans. The collection also features a D-pad cushion, trays, controller display cases, monitor stands, and various storage furniture pieces, with some products incorporating ergonomic and accessibility considerations.

The products and their UK pricing are as follows:

Gaming Lounge Chair: £89

Analog Stick Gaming Stool (Green/Black): £35

Gaming TV Unit with Wheels (White/Black): £99

Gaming Side Table with Wheels: £115

Controller Display Case (White/Black): £15

Laptop Stand with Storage: £19

Gaming Controller Stand: £25

D-Pad Cushion: £12

D-Pad Tray: £12

The YXSTABY collection is currently on display at the Xbox booth at Gamescom. In the UK, it is slated for release starting in October, available through IKEA's official website and physical stores.
