Back in June, Bandai Namco unveiled "GUNDAM ROGUE ORBIT," an original action game set in a brand-new Gundam universe. This title is part of the "RG Project," a cross-media initiative that also includes the upcoming anime "Mobile Suit Gundam RG XARX-Zero."
On the evening of the 3rd, Bandai Namco announced that the game is officially launching on March 5, 2027, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Steam. To celebrate, they also dropped a "Release Date Announcement Trailer."
"GUNDAM ROGUE ORBIT" is an action game where players pilot Gundams, freely customizing them with a wide array of equipment and skills. Get ready for high-speed, agile, and unrestricted high-mobility combat! The story unfolds in the new A.A. (After Apocalypse) era, set a century after the events of "Mobile Suit Gundam RG XARX-Zero."
Players will step into the cockpit as RE-X, the pilot of the "Gundam Helix," alongside their Haro partner, V. Together, they'll face threats from an unknown enemy. The game promises a vast, realistically rendered cosmic stage where players will embark on a journey crucial to the fate of humanity.
The "Release Date Announcement Trailer" not only showcases new gameplay footage but also reveals customized Gundams, fresh characters and their dedicated Mobile Suits, formidable foes, and a mysterious black unknown mobile suit.
The game also features a "MOD Skin" system, allowing players to change the appearance of their beloved Mobile Suits to iconic designs like the "RX-78-2 Gundam" and more.
