Zoids: Chaotic Century is a manga developed as part of the multimedia franchise based on the ZOIDS model kit line from TOMY, now TAKARA TOMY.
On October 2, original creator Michiro Ueyama announced that the manga’s final arc will begin serialization in 2027. The project will build on his unfinished continuation, Zoids: Chaotic Century EX, finally bringing the story to a conclusion after many years.
Zoids: Chaotic Century originally ran in Shogakukan’s Monthly CoroCoro Comic from 1999 to 2001. Its original Japanese release was collected in five volumes, followed by a three-volume reissue.
Set on Planet Zi, the story follows a young boy named Van, his dinosaur-like Zoid partner Zeke, and Fiona, a girl capable of communicating with Zoids, as they embark on their adventures.

According to Ueyama, the project is based on the continuation he began publishing on his personal website around twenty years ago under the title Zoids: Chaotic Century EX. That web serialization was left unfinished, but the project is now being revived with formal authorization from TAKARA TOMY. It will continue as an officially authorized sequel and carry the story through to its conclusion.

Ueyama is currently working on the story beyond the material previously published online. Although the exact serialization launch date and publication platform have not yet been announced, he said he is considering a format that will make the continuation as accessible to readers as possible.
Meanwhile, his ongoing series From Bureaucrat to Villainess: Dad’s Been Reincarnated! will continue on Comic Y-OURS. Ueyama plans to work on it alongside the final arc of Zoids: Chaotic Century.
