Man of Tomorrow, James Gunn’s follow-up to Superman, has wrapped filming and is now in post-production. That has naturally left audiences wondering what movie Gunn will write and direct next, whether it might continue Superman’s story and whether work has already begun. One fan recently put those questions directly to Gunn on Threads, and the filmmaker quickly responded.

The fan asked, “Are you ready to write your next film, James, or not quite yet?” Gunn replied, “Already in it. I had to do something while I was waiting for the assembly!!” He did not reveal the title or subject of the screenplay, however, nor did he confirm that it is a DCU project. Although his response has already prompted speculation about another Superman movie, that remains entirely unconfirmed.
Elsewhere in the same thread, one of Gunn’s fans jokingly posed as a hater, writing: “No one enjoys hating James Gunn more than I do—except perhaps Zack Snyder’s fans. I love talking trash, but the guy genuinely never misses. Everything he has put onscreen has either delighted me or, at the very least, kept me entertained.” Gunn played along, replying, “This is the kind of hatred I really enjoy.”
