Best known for the To Love Ru series, Black Cat, and Yamato Gensouki, manga artist Kentaro Yabuki is approaching his 30th anniversary in the industry. While he currently has no ongoing series, fans remain as devoted as ever, especially when it comes to his widely praised talent for drawing female characters.
Yabuki recently unveiled his illustration of Nami for the upcoming ONE PIECE CARD GAME Extra Booster set, "ONE PIECE Heroines Edition vol.2." The artwork showcases his polished style while giving Nami a completely different kind of charm, quickly sparking conversation online.

The official ONE PIECE CARD GAME account on X introduced the card with the following post:
"First revealed during the official Flame-Flame Fruit Coliseum livestream, here is a look at one of the cards included in Extra Booster 'ONE PIECE Heroines Edition vol.2 [EB-05]'! This time, the spotlight is on Nami, featuring a brand-new illustration by Kentaro Yabuki, creator of To Love Ru!"
The new "ONE PIECE Heroines Edition vol.2 [EB-05]" booster set is scheduled to launch on October 31, 2026.
Yabuki's official X account also reposted the announcement, writing: "A brand-new ONE PIECE CARD GAME card illustrated by Kentaro Yabuki is on the way! Stay tuned!"

Once the artwork was revealed, fans were quick to praise the choice of Yabuki, calling the collaboration irresistible and predicting that the new booster set will be fiercely sought after.

However, some eagle-eyed users noticed what appears to be an error around Nami's right hand, which makes the character look as though she has two left hands. Fans are hoping it will be corrected before release.

Kentaro Yabuki may not have a new manga in serialization right now, but whenever he draws a character from another franchise, the results instantly get people talking. His take on Nami for the latest ONE PIECE CARD GAME booster carries plenty of that unmistakable To Love Ru flavor, making this one card collectors will be racing to secure.
