Japan has no shortage of popular select shops, and FREAK'S STORE is one of the most fun to browse. Rather than following the usual Japanese aesthetic, the retailer stands out with its distinctive take on American casualwear.
The brand recently announced a collaboration with THE GHOST IN THE SHELL, the new anime that premiered this July. The apparel collection splashes iconic scenes, logos, and other imagery from the series across a range of clothing. Preorders are now open through FREAK'S STORE's Daytona Park online shop and Shogakukan's official Shogakukan Hyakkaten e-commerce site, with the collection scheduled for release in late November.
Built around the series' signature visual elements, the collection brings together THE GHOST IN THE SHELL, FREAK'S STORE, and Shogakukan's business and trend media brand DIME. Each partner brings a different perspective to the project, reimagining the world of Ghost in the Shell through fashion, graphic design, and playful details.
