Renowned Japanese watchmaker SEIKO has teamed up with a range of ACG franchises over the years, producing character-themed watches that have proved popular with fans.
Following its previous limited-edition watch celebrating Pompompurin’s 30th anniversary, SEIKO is now turning the spotlight on another fan-favorite Sanrio character: Hangyodon. Priced at ¥49,280 and limited to 2,000 pieces worldwide, the commemorative collaboration watch is now available to preorder through PREMICO.
Introduced by Sanrio in 1985, Hangyodon is a wide-eyed, lovably goofy fish-like character. This SEIKO collaboration channels his uniquely soothing world through refined colors and shimmering details, creating a watch packed with feel-good charm.
The design also features Hangyodon’s best friend, Sayuri the octopus. Its emerald-green dial draws inspiration from the mysterious beauty of the ocean, giving the watch a clean, versatile look.
A gleaming gold seashell motif sits at 12 o’clock, while a signature Hangyodon pattern is subtly worked into the background near the 4 o’clock position.
Hangyodon and his octopus pal Sayuri hold hands as they gaze sweetly out from the dial, capturing the close bond between the two friends.
The case back features an illustration of Hangyodon and Sayuri, along with an individual limited-edition number from 1 to 2,000.
The watch also comes with an exclusive house-shaped display box and a dedicated warranty card.
