Japanese merchandise company MOVIC is known for turning popular anime and manga into playful collectibles—and giving fans plenty of reasons to open their wallets.
The company has now unveiled a new piece of merchandise inspired by Frieren: Beyond Journey's End, the hit anime that premiered its second season earlier this year. Modeled after the series' infamous Mimic, this eye-catching glasses case is priced at 1,760 yen. Preorders are now open, with the official release scheduled for December 2026.
MOVIC's new glasses case transforms the familiar Mimic into a full-blown eyewear accessory. The case recreates the monster's treasure-chest exterior, complete with its signature row of teeth. Better yet, the included cleaning cloth is shaped like the Mimic's tongue and can be left hanging out of the case for the complete monster-in-disguise look. It is a clever little detail that brings the whole design to life.
The bottom of the glasses case also features the series logo.
