A brand-new manga drawn by Naruto creator Masashi Kishimoto was officially announced on October 11! The new title is Naruto: Shadow Rising.
Officials also dropped a super teaser trailer, with more details set to be revealed at Jump Festa 2027, taking place December 19–20 at Makuhari Messe in Chiba Prefecture.
The announcement video opens with manga storyboards before rolling out one Team 7 reunion after another: Naruto Uzumaki holding the Hokage hat aloft, Kakashi Hatake flashing a huge smile, Sasuke Uchiha striking a commanding pose, and Sakura Haruno gazing lovingly at a baby. The teaser also shows Naruto and Sasuke locked in a fierce clash.

The scene then shifts to the six Hokage Rock faces watching over the Hidden Leaf Village—and reveals that the seventh is still under construction. The final reveal makes it official: a new manga titled Naruto: Shadow Rising is on the way.
