The popular Detective Conan TV anime arc "The Crimson Closing Day" officially wrapped up with "The Final Show" on October 10. After solving the case, Heiji Hattori finally confessed his feelings to Kazuha Toyama, and the two officially became a couple, bringing this long-awaited manga moment to the anime at last.
The episode had barely finished airing before the official team launched an all-out advertising blitz across Osaka on October 11. From ad trucks and boats cruising the waterways to subway hand straps, the city is now covered in promotions for "Heiji ♡ Kazuha"—because apparently, everyone in Osaka needs to hear the big news. The campaign's sheer scale quickly became a hot topic among Japanese fans.

Early on October 11, fans across Osaka began spotting the official "Heiji ♡ Kazuha" ad trucks roaming the streets. The vehicles carry slogans including "We have to tell everyone in Osaka!" and "Naniwa's newest power couple is here!" They have been turning up all over the city center.

And that is not all. The official team also unveiled a boat cruising through Dotonbori with a digital billboard promoting the couple as it sails along the canal. The Detective Conan team really went all in on this one.

Naturally, plenty of fans headed out to see this unprecedented promotional boat celebrating anime's newest couple.

Even Osaka Metro is getting in on the celebration, with custom flyer-style ads promoting the couple displayed throughout the subway system.
(The subway campaign apparently began before "The Crimson Closing Day" premiered, but now that the episode has aired, those ads hit a whole lot harder.)

After 28 years in the anime, Osaka's favorite slow-burn couple has finally made it official. No wonder the team was willing to pull out all the stops for a citywide celebration—it is incredibly rare to see anime characters promoted on this kind of scale.
