Directed by Ryosuke Takahashi and produced by Sunrise, the classic 1980s mecha anime Armored Trooper VOTOMS is making a major comeback. This November will see the release of Armored Trooper VOTOMS: Die Graue Hexe, a new theatrical film directed by Mamoru Oshii and the franchise’s first all-new entry in 15 years—a surprise that has fans buzzing.
The series has now teamed up with Japanese denim brand EDWIN for the Armored Trooper VOTOMS x EDWIN Collaboration Jeans: Red Shoulder Custom Design. Priced at ¥39,600, preorders are now open through Premium Bandai in Japan and A-on STORE.

Produced with support from EDWIN, the collaboration brings the battle-scarred world of Armored Trooper VOTOMS to a pair of jeans. The deep green denim has been stonewashed for an aged finish, then treated with distressed detailing and black stains designed to resemble motor oil. Inspired by the Scopedog piloted by protagonist Chirico Cuvie, the overall look delivers a rugged, battlefield-worn aesthetic.

The jeans feature a loose, straight-leg cut and are available in sizes 27–34 and 36 inches.

The rear pocket features an insignia inspired by the Red Shoulder special forces unit. The leather label is dyed dark red to evoke the armor plating on the Scopedog’s left shoulder. Deep green accents also appear on the front pocket lining, buttonhole stitching, and outer-leg seams, giving every detail a distinctive collaboration-exclusive finish.

Each purchase also includes an A4 clear file featuring a newly drawn illustration by mechanical designer Kunio Okawara, depicting an EDWIN collaboration version of the Red Shoulder Custom.
