Opened on October 2, 2024, the Nintendo Museum in Kyoto celebrated its second anniversary in 2026.
On October 13, Nintendo offered the first look at its new SUPER FAMILY RESTAURANT (スーパーファミリーレストラン). Its nostalgia-packed menu and retro interior immediately grabbed attention, making the restaurant another major highlight for future museum visits. A series of soft-opening days is planned for November, although a date for the full opening has yet to be announced.

SUPER FAMILY RESTAURANT will be located on the second floor of Exhibition Building 2 at the Nintendo Museum. Guests can enjoy a meal surrounded by nostalgic decor while looking back on treasured memories of Nintendo and their time at the museum.

Rare character collectibles and other items are displayed throughout the restaurant, with surprising details waiting around every corner. Between bites, guests may find themselves reaching for their cameras to capture all the Nintendo references tucked into the space.

The spacious, comfortable seating area also offers views of playful cloud illustrations, adding another fun touch to the dining experience.

From à la carte dishes and drinks to desserts, every menu item features details inspired by memorable games and characters.

The restaurant will be operated by Smiles Co., Ltd., the company behind the museum’s existing HATENA BURGER (はてなバーガー) café, and will be available exclusively to Nintendo Museum ticket holders.
Guests are expected to make dining reservations on the day of their museum visit, with further details to be announced later. Soft-opening days will be held intermittently beginning in November, though exact dates and participation details have not yet been revealed. Full operations will begin once all preparations are complete.
