Yokohama Landmark Tower and the MARK IS minatomirai shopping center have announced a new winter celebration, Yokohama Minatomirai Winter Holiday 2026: A Winter Fantasy Woven by DRAGON QUEST and FINAL FANTASY.
This marks the first simultaneous crossover event between DRAGON QUEST and Final Fantasy. Giant seasonal displays, a themed café, pop-up shops, and more will bring some extra fantasy to the Christmas season. The event runs from November 11, 2026, through January 11, 2027.
SQUARE ENIX's two flagship RPG franchises have captivated generations of players, and this winter, their legendary adventures will finally cross paths in Minatomirai. Beloved characters including Slime and Chocobo will take over Yokohama Landmark Tower, MARK IS minatomirai, and the surrounding district for a lively celebration built for fans of both series.
The first floor of Landmark Plaza will host the "Miraculous Holiday Tree Where Legends Meet." Inspired by a starlit forest at night, the Christmas tree brings characters from both franchises together in one spectacular seasonal display.
Meanwhile, a treasure chest-themed "Slime and Chocobo Holiday Display" will welcome visitors on the first floor of MARK IS minatomirai. Some of the decorations are scheduled to change beginning Saturday, December 26.
Cafe Fan Base, located on the fifth floor of Landmark Plaza, will host a limited-time DRAGON QUEST x Final Fantasy collaboration café.
Alongside dishes available throughout the event, the café will offer separate limited menus during its first and second phases, giving fans something new to try on repeat visits.
Customers who make a purchase will receive an A5 clear folder featuring the event's key visual. Guests who order selected menu items will also receive one of seven original coasters, distributed at random.
A pixel-art fuse bead workshop will also let participants create their own Slime and Chocobo designs using heat-fused plastic beads. Each creation can be fitted with a ball chain and turned into a custom keychain.
Participation costs 1,760 yen and includes one fuse bead workshop session and one original drink from the "Slime & Chocobo Kitchen." Reservations must be made through the designated LINE app and are handled separately from café bookings.
The event's themed pop-up, "Yokohama Minatomirai Winter Holiday 2026 SQUARE ENIX POP UP STORE," will operate in two locations at MARK IS minatomirai: Minna no Atelier on the first floor and the Event Space on the fifth floor.
The first-floor Minna no Atelier location will focus on merchandise featuring newly created event artwork, along with new and advance-release DRAGON QUEST and Final Fantasy products. The fifth-floor Event Space will carry a broader selection, including the items above as well as additional merchandise and music releases from both franchises.
