Gundam's official fashion label STRICT-G has released plenty of well-received apparel through its military-inspired sub-label, STRICT-G.ARMS.
Its latest drop is a pair of Mobile Suit Gundam-themed CWU-36P flight jackets, available in Earth Federation Forces and Principality of Zeon Forces designs. Priced at ¥22,000 each, both jackets are now available to preorder through the Premium Bandai Japan website.

The STRICT-G.ARMS line reimagines the Universal Century timeline of Gundam as real history, blending military styling with everyday wearability to create rugged pieces that still fit comfortably into a modern wardrobe.

This release is based on the CWU-36P, the U.S. military's standard lightweight summer flight jacket designed for warm climates, low-altitude operations, and summer missions. Widely recognized after being worn by cast members in the Top Gun films, it has become an enduring staple of both military-inspired fashion and streetwear.
The jackets use custom nylon fabric with a pronounced ridged texture. The back also incorporates details from early flight jackets, including deeper action pleats for greater freedom of movement. Rather than updating the silhouette with a modern cut, the design preserves the original flight jacket profile, delivering a dose of vintage charm straight from aviation's golden age.
