Supergiant Games' Hades, an epic roguelike steeped in ancient Greek mythology, lets players take on the role of Zagreus, son of Hades, battling through the Underworld with the aid of the Olympian gods. Each run throws a randomized gauntlet of enemies and challenges at you, a unique gameplay loop that earned it countless awards and critical acclaim, with many outlets hailing it as one of 2020's top games. Now, the game is teaming up with PowerA to unleash a fiery red wireless controller!
PowerA has been a go-to brand for gamers for over a decade. Remember their MOGA controllers from 2012 that still needed AAA batteries? Well, they've come a long way! The new Hades-themed controller charges via a three-meter USB-C cable, boasts over 30 hours of battery life, and even gives you a red light warning when power is low.
Plus, this bad boy supports the latest Bluetooth 5.0 technology. It features two programmable back buttons and is designed to match the feel of the original Switch Pro Controller. However, like many third-party controllers, it unfortunately doesn't support HD Rumble or NFC.
PowerA was acquired by ACCO Brands for $340 million on December 17, 2020. Despite the corporate shuffle, this Hades controller still looks absolutely stunning with its paint job and design, upholding the reputation of an electronics giant.
