Good news, retro gamers! Playmaji, the masterminds behind the highly anticipated POLYMEGA retro console, just dropped a bombshell on their official Twitter: those pesky shipping containers, stuck in port, have finally been cleared! Get ready, because shipments are officially resuming on October 20.

This console has been quite the journey, first teased way back in 2017 and even making an appearance at E3 2019. But after a string of sporadic updates and seemingly endless delays, many players started to worry if the POLYMEGA would ever truly see the light of day. Thankfully, those fears were put to rest when the first batch finally started landing in players' hands throughout 2021.
According to Playmaji, this latest batch actually left Asia back in June, hitting the Port of Long Beach in the US by September. But then, it got held up for over ten agonizing days at the port. Now, finally, it's cleared for its second wave of shipments.

So, what exactly *is* the POLYMEGA? It's a seriously versatile retro gaming machine that lets you swap out modules to play games from a ton of classic consoles. We're talking original PlayStation, Sega Saturn, Super Nintendo, Mega Drive (aka Sega Genesis), and even PC-Engine (TurboGrafx-16)! Beyond its own wireless controller, you can even use your old-school gamepads with the right modules. Plus, it's packed with modern features like HDMI output, wired internet, and support for both external and M.2 SSDs – making it one feature-rich console. Prices kick off at a cool $449.

However, if you're looking to place a new order now, you might have to cool your jets a bit – new shipments for fresh orders aren't expected until the first half of 2022.
