Komeda Coffee (コメダ珈琲店), which also has branches in Taiwan, is known as one of the representative coffee shops famous for its 'menu deception.' However, their 'menu deception' isn't about menu pictures looking much better than the actual food; it's the exact opposite, an incredibly surprising phenomenon: burgers that look ordinary and not filling on the menu arrive with portions so huge they make you question reality.
Recently, Komeda Coffee, which is highly popular for this reason, has added another interesting anecdote.

Twitter user 'gingareina' recently visited a Komeda Coffee in Shinjuku but found the store completely full. Normally, one would have to wait outside, but unexpectedly, a staff member asked, 'Um, if you don't mind our meeting room...'

Yes, the image above shows the in-store meeting room, which is supposedly only for staff use, and the staff directly asked the Twitter user if they wanted to sit there. Of course, the user posted about it because they readily accepted the staff's kind offer and actually dined in that spot, lol.
▼This feels so out of place!!

After the user posted, the tweet immediately caught the attention of netizens, with some jokingly calling it 'VIP treatment,' as indeed, who would expect to sit in a staff meeting room, haha.
Even more interestingly, the original poster wasn't the only one to receive such treatment; another netizen, 'ゴリラ匿お,' also mentioned being invited to sit in Komeda's training room. Could it be that these spaces are actually open to customers when the store is full?!
We wonder if you, our readers, would accept such a meeting room invitation if you encountered a similar situation. If it were me, I'd probably happily agree, just like the Twitter user (laughs).
