“Terrifier 3” UK Premiere So Bloody It Made Audiences Vomit? Director Emphasizes: “Not For Everyone”

Following the 2022 release of "Terrifier 2," Damien Leone's third installment in the slasher series, "Terrifier 3," is set to return to North American theaters on October 11, 2024. While fans of the franchise eagerly anticipate the film, several attendees at a recent UK premiere reportedly walked out—and even vomited—due to the excessively gory opening scenes before its official release.

According to LADbible, nine audience members initially walked out of the "Terrifier 3" screening due to the intense opening gore. A film representative later confirmed that a total of 11 attendees left the screening, with one person reportedly vomiting on the spot. Addressing the reactions, director Damien Leone responded on Twitter (now X), stating that he "personally witnessed the madness at the UK premiere!"

This isn't the first time "Terrifier 3" has been reported for its extreme gore. David Howard Thornton, who plays Art the Clown in the film, previously stated that even he nearly vomited during the shooting of one particularly bloody scene.

After director Leone commented that they had "just completed one of the most insane, disturbing scenes of the 'Terrifier' franchise," David Howard Thornton added that it was "the first kill that almost made me throw up. It was the first time I had that feeling on set."

While official plot details for "Terrifier 3" remain under wraps, the visceral reactions from both cast and audiences clearly indicate that the film's extensive gore will deliver significant psychological shock. Consequently, in addition to carrying a gore warning, the director has stressed that the film is "not for everyone."
