The popular articulated figure series "AMAZING YAMAGUCHI", developed by Japanese model manufacturer Kaiyodo, recently showcased the development prototype for its latest "Mazinger Z" release, "Mazinger Z", which was previously announced. The release date is yet to be determined.
The "AMAZING YAMAGUCHI" series is an articulated figure line with Kaiyodo's renowned sculptor Katsuhisa Yamaguchi serving as general director. Utilizing the highly acclaimed Revoltech (REVOLTECH) joint parts, it provides an extremely flexible range of articulation. This allows for dynamic battle stances from the original work to be recreated with various accessories and effects. This time, the series returns to the origin of "Mazinger Z", releasing the steel fortress "Mazinger Z" based on the original anime's design.
From the currently revealed prototype, it can be seen that Mazinger Z combines the refined design of the original anime with the articulation provided by Revoltech joints. It can achieve exaggerated and powerful running poses, as if straight out of an anime scene. The product will also include the "Jet Scrander", which can be combined by replacing waist parts.
