Prime 1 Studio has unveiled the latest addition to its Ultimate Diorama Masterline: the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers “Megazord (Design by Josh Nizzi) Bonus Version.” Hollywood mechanical designer Josh Nizzi reimagines the classic five-Zord combiner with a more realistic armored design while retaining its familiar red, black, blue, and yellow color scheme. Interchangeable parts allow collectors to recreate multiple configurations, while the Bonus Version adds a pair of massive wings. Limited to just 50 pieces worldwide, the statue is priced at $4,899 and is expected to ship between March and June 2028.
While the previously announced “Mighty Morphin Power Rangers 5-Ranger Set statue” faithfully captured the suit-based proportions of the original team, this release completely redesigns their iconic Megazord. Its traditionally boxy silhouette has been reshaped with broader, more humanlike proportions, while the chest, shoulder armor, and limbs feature layers of intricate mechanical detailing. Chipped paint, scratches, and other battle-damaged weathering cover the exterior. Paired with a ruined city themed base, the display looks as though Megazord has just emerged from a devastating clash with a giant monster.
The statue also includes interchangeable head, arm, and tail parts, allowing collectors to switch between Megazord armed with its Power Sword and Mammoth Shield and the “Mega Dragonzord” configuration formed by combining with the Green Ranger’s Dragonzord. The latter adds twin-cannon arms and alternate head armor, giving each setup its own distinctive presence. LED illumination is also built into the eyes of all five Dinozords and the cannon muzzles, bringing the sculpt’s intricate mechanical details to life.
The Bonus Version’s standout feature is an additional pair of massive wings redesigned around the Pterodactyl Dinozord. Once attached, they give Megazord an all-new flight configuration never seen in the original TV series. Rather than simply scaling up the classic robot, Prime 1 Studio and Josh Nizzi have used interchangeable components and a fresh mechanical redesign to give collectors several dramatically different display options.
