Following Ubisoft's recent demonstrations of AI generation technology, which allows players to engage with in-game NPCs through voice and other interactions, the company is now bringing a voice-interactive audio drama to its "Watch Dogs" video game series, aiming to deepen player engagement with the narrative.
Sources indicate that this "Watch Dogs" audio drama serves as a sequel to "Watch Dogs: Legion," which was released in 2020. Utilizing a "voice interactive mode," players and listeners will be able to shape the story's progression through audio commands, reminiscent of Netflix's interactive film "Black Mirror: Bandersnatch."
The narrative reportedly centers on the government's augmented SIRS, which is attempting to orchestrate a conspiracy involving information manipulation and fake news. The hacker collective DedSec must rise to counter this unsettling information war. The voice cast features Russell Tovey ("The Good Liar"), Freema Agyeman ("The Matrix Resurrections"), T'Nia Miller, Gary Beadle, and David Morrissey, among others.

Beyond this "Watch Dogs: Legion" sequel, a live-action "Watch Dogs" film is also reportedly in the early stages of development.
