Marvel Rivals Adds Five New Playable Heroes Pre-Launch: Wolverine, Black Widow Join 6v6 Roster

Co-developed by Marvel Comics and NetEase, the third-person PvP game "Marvel Rivals" is set to launch on December 6, 2024, across Steam, Epic Games, and PlayStation 5. As the game counts down to its release, officials have announced the addition of five more playable Marvel heroes.

Since its initial reveal, the game has boasted a roster of over 25 characters. The latest heroes joining the 6v6 superhero team-based brawler include Wolverine, Iron Fist, Black Widow, Cloak & Dagger, and Squirrel Girl.

Other existing characters in the lineup feature Spider-Man, Iron Man, Hulk, Doctor Strange, Black Panther, Loki, Star-Lord, Namor, Magneto, The Punisher, Peni Parker, Scarlet Witch, Luna Snow, Magik, Mantis, Storm, and Groot.

Of course, the developers plan to continuously add more Marvel characters post-launch. Players will be able to choose their preferred combatants from various hero factions like the Avengers, Guardians of the Galaxy, and X-Men, or even villains, to engage in 6v6 battles.

The "Marvel Rivals" development team includes members who previously contributed to "Battlefield" and "Call of Duty Online," bringing significant experience to this Marvel-themed title.

"Marvel Rivals" will be available as a free-to-play game on Steam, Epic Games, and PlayStation 5.
