A YouTube video showcasing a fix for a glitchy Game Boy Advance SP screen has been blowing up online! Creator "ebikani DIY" managed to banish those pesky vertical lines using a seriously cool, specialized tool. The video has already racked up over 180,000 views and more than 2,000 likes.
In the clip, ebikani DIY shows off a GBA SP with two glaring vertical lines marring its screen. His secret weapon? A T-shaped soldering iron that looks suspiciously like a tiny hammer! The idea was to use its heat to improve conductivity at the circuit contacts. He meticulously disassembled the GBA SP, removing the battery, motherboard, and LCD, then carefully detached the screen's front cover to expose the crucial contact points.

After testing his gadget, ebikani DIY found the main body of the soldering tool hit around 240℃, the T-shaped tip hovered at 160℃, and the rubber attachment was a cool 100℃. Things got a little dicey during the repair: when the tool first touched the contacts, *another* line popped up, giving him a serious scare! But with some careful tweaking, he managed to make one of the original lines vanish.
He then figured the contacts just needed a bit more heat time, so he patiently waited it out, and boom – the second line disappeared too! Post-fix, the screen was back to perfect, with backlight and all functions working flawlessly.

The comments section absolutely exploded with awe and humor. One viewer gushed, "The repair process was so moving!" while another hilariously quipped, "At first, I thought he was just going to whack it with a hammer!"
Beyond this epic repair, ebikani DIY's channel is packed with other cool content, like deep-cleaning a dusty PS5 and testing budget CPUs. His blend of creativity and technical skill has clearly captivated a huge audience who love all things repair and modding.
