This new installment's theme is "Idol," built around the concept: "'Because of you, we shine brighter and grow stronger!' ( “キミ”がいるから輝ける、強くなれる！ )" The story follows Pretty Cures who become idols, using their singing, dancing, and fan engagement to rescue those whose sparkle has been stolen.
The currently revealed synopsis introduces us to Uta Sakura, a second-year middle school student who loves to sing. One day, she encounters Prirun, a fairy searching for the legendary savior, the "Idol Pretty Cure." Prirun's homeland, "Sparkle Land," was destroyed by Dark Ene, the leader of the evil Scissors Gang, plunging it into darkness. When the townspeople's light is also stolen by the Scissors Gang, Uta faces the crisis head-on, declaring: "No matter how dark it gets, I'll make this place sparkle with my singing!" With that resolve, she awakens and transforms into the legendary savior—Cure Idol!
