NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 Review Embargo Confirmed: Arrives a Week Ahead of RTX 5080, Launching Alongside Sales

At the 2025 Consumer Electronics Show (CES), NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang not only unveiled the highly anticipated NVIDIA GeForce RTX 50 series graphics cards but also confirmed their phased rollout would begin in January 2025. Now, with various manufacturers having showcased their own 50 series cards, NVIDIA has officially announced the review embargo date for the GeForce RTX 5090.

According to international reports, NVIDIA initially aimed to launch the RTX 5080 on January 21. However, the final BIOS was only released at the end of last December, necessitating overtime for partner manufacturers to prepare. Consequently, at the request of its partners, NVIDIA has pushed back the embargo date to January 30. While both the RTX 5090 and RTX 5080 will launch on the same day, their review embargoes are staggered, with the RTX 5090 reviews set to go live first.

NVIDIA is reportedly implementing the same embargo date for both Founders Edition and AIC (Add-in-Card) versions this time. Several brands, including NVIDIA itself, have signed Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs) that stipulate identical review and launch dates.
