The popular manga series My Hero Academia, serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump, saw its spin-off, My Hero Academia: Vigilantes, announced to be getting an anime adaptation at last month's Jump Festa 2025. Today (January 22), more detailed information about the anime has been revealed!
My Hero Academia: Vigilantes is a manga written by Hideyuki Furuhashi and illustrated by Betten Court. The story follows college student Koichi Haimawari, who, despite being often ostracized at school and possessing a less-than-impressive "Quirk," still harbors a dream of becoming a hero. His favorite pastime is secretly dressing up as "The Cruller" at night to help strangers. This hobby leads him to an encounter with the mysterious older man known as "Knuckle Duster," and together they delve into the world of "illegal heroes" (Vigilantes).
This release includes a new key visual and a teaser PV. The teaser PV showcases more animated content and introduces the voice cast for the new characters. Koichi Haimawari will be voiced by Shuichiro Umeda, the female character Pop☆Step will be voiced by Ikumi Hasegawa, and Knuckle Duster, who leads Koichi into the world of Vigilantes, will be voiced by Yasuhiro Mamiya.
My Hero Academia: Vigilantes is set to begin airing on April 7, 2025.
