Japanese watchmaking giant "SEIKO" is no stranger to epic collaborations, having previously teamed up with numerous ACG (Anime, Comics, Games) IPs to drop stylish timepieces that fans absolutely adore.
Now, they're back with another showstopper, announcing a collaboration with virtual diva Hatsune Miku, who's celebrating her 17th anniversary! This new limited-edition watch is inspired by the legendary VOCALOID track, "Senbonzakura." Priced at 65,780 JPY, it's currently available for pre-order on the Japanese PREMICO website.
For those unfamiliar, "Senbonzakura" is a mega-hit song by Kurousa-P, originally uploaded to niconico on September 17, 2011, and later to YouTube. It's one of Kurousa-P's signature works, largely thanks to its MV, which features stunning character illustrations, backgrounds steeped in Taisho-era retro charm, and an operatic flair. To this day, it remains a staple on Japanese karaoke charts, has been covered by countless singers and online personalities, and is widely considered one of the most popular VOCALOID songs ever.

For this collaboration, popular artist Iwato ( @iwato1712 ) created an exclusive Hatsune Miku illustration. The watch face itself boasts a gorgeous purple-to-pink gradient background, adorned with falling cherry blossoms that perfectly capture the song's aesthetic. At 12 o'clock, you'll find the cherry blossom emblem from Miku's collar, while the 1 o'clock mark features the "壱" (ichi) character from her MV outfit. The sub-dial at 6 o'clock is designed to look like a vinyl record, complete with piano keys around its outer edge – a true celebration of music!
The second hand matches Hatsune Miku's iconic hair color, while the hour and minute hands feature a "retro spectacle" design, perfectly complementing "Senbonzakura's" nostalgic Taisho-era vibe. This limited edition is capped at just 1,000 pieces, each with its own unique serial number. The case back is also exquisitely engraved with a silhouette of Hatsune Miku, her twin-tails flowing as she rides a bicycle, making it an absolute must-have for collectors!
